The Smart Coil Tube Clamp: An Easy Way to Keep Your Ignition Coil Mounted Securely

Critical components in your vehicle’s engine such as the ignition coil play an important role in keeping your engine running safely and efficiently. One of the most important functions of the ignition coil is to provide voltage to the spark plugs which ignite the air-fuel mixture in your cylinders, thus providing your car with combustion that moves it down the road or highway. Once you have a good sense of how essential the ignition coil is to your vehicle’s performance, you can see why having it properly mounted on your engine matters just as much.

First you will need a new coil (and module if applicable)
When it comes time to replace a defective ignition coil, be sure that you order an ignition coil mount tube clamp, as well. A new module will not last long without a sturdy mounting system in place; failure to replace your mounting hardware can spell disaster for both your old and new components. You can find these easy-to-install clamps online or at any auto parts store. When installing your new ignition coil, be sure that you install it into a properly placed mount.

Then install your mounting bracket on the engine block
In addition to bolting on your mounting bracket, you’ll also need to connect your smart coil tube clamp. The smart coil tube clamp has two notches and a fastener. You can attach it directly on top of or below your mounting bracket; it doesn’t matter which method you choose, but remember that if you don’t connect both notches, your engine won’t get as much support from that side of your mounting bracket.

Install your new spark plug wires into the metal clamps
Thread your spark plug wires through their respective clamps and tighten them down so that you have a solid connection between your spark plug wire and ignition coil mount tube clamp. Once you’ve got everything in place, double-check to make sure that none of your connections are loose. You can also double-check your work by pulling on each one of your connections to ensure they don’t move.

Finally replace those old plastic caps with smart coil tube clamps
What you’ll love about our smart coil tube clamps is that they are extremely easy to use. You just need a simple screwdriver or a coin, and you can open them up and clamp them onto your engine’s tubing. When it comes time to remove them, you don’t even have to take out any tools; just pry them off with your fingers! The best part? They’re inexpensive and durable—so if one gets lost in an oil change or something else happens, it won’t be hard on your wallet. It will also save you from having to buy another ignition coil mount tube clamp in six months when it breaks down from regular wear and tear.
